Allegro Assai

The last movement of J. S. Bach's 2nd Brandenburg Concerto has a well deserved reputation as being one of the finest pieces of virtuoso trumpet writing. It is however a concerto for four instruments (trumpet, violin, oboe and flute). This transcription is for soprano, 3 cornets and band and is playable by most bands at 1^st section or above.

As well as a fine piece in it's own right, it works as an encore to a soprano or cornet solo for nearly any occasion.
