He's both a cornet and a trumpet player. He learnt on cornet from the
age of 10, and was princpal by the age of 14. I don't know where, but
I think it may have been a Sally Army band (don't quote me on that).

However he has also been a Trumpet Player with the Royal Philharmonic
Orchestra under Kempe.
