Nigel I've seen Hatfields of Colchester band use them (even in Regents Park !) - Ideal for outdoor gigs when transportability is an issue and wonderful sound quality isn't. I personally don't like the sound and I wouldn't recommend them for an indoor gig where it would be very obvious that they weren't "proper" timps. Having said that, they collapse down and you could probably fit 4 in the back of an average estate car. I don't know the manufacturer but I might be able to find out if you're interested. Now when I was lugging Meltham's Timps around on Sunday afternoon I thought to myself "what's happened about these timps". I've never seen any advertised let alone any in use. Does anyone have any experience regarding these drums? -- Nigel Horne, Technical Director SoftCare Media Systems Ltd.
