To answer Nigel's question, and in case anyone else is interested, the 5 test 
pieces selected by the National Contesting Council for the 1996 regional events 
are:

     Championship Section : 'Sounds' by John Golland (Kirklees Music)
	    First Section : 'Spectrum' by Gilbert Vinter (Studio Music)
	   Second Section : 'Hollywood!' by Goff Richards (Obrasso)
	    Third Section : 'Divertimento' by Bryan Kelly (Novello)
	   Fourth Section : 'Mexican Fiesta' by Ronald Hamner (Studio Music)
