Yamaha

In an earlier message Dean Rayner wrote:
Obviously they all play Yamaha. [But WHY??].

Obviously Dean Rayner doesn't like Yamaha instruments
in general, and for not long ago I would have agreed
with him. But now I have changed my opinion a little bit.
Especially the Yamaha cornets aren't so bad, and I
know that many brass band cornetists in England play
Yamaha. The trombones is getting better, but still I
don't think any model can beat my own Conn 88H.

The biggest disadvantage with Yamaha as I see it
is that the metal is to stiff. It doesn't ring as it should
and therefor you don't get the right sound out of it.
