I know these results aren't what everyone is waiting for (I am too!!!) but
they may be of interest anyway.

The 85th Tanunda Band Contest, incorporating the South Australian Band
Championships - Sat Oct 21st.

[Tanunda is just north of Adelaide, in the Barossa Valley - our famed
wine-producing area.]

Set Test Music

A Grade  "Theme and Co-Operation"    Joseph Horovitz
B Grade  "Masquerade for Brass"      Joseph Horovitz
C Grade  "Hollywood!"		Goff Richards
D Grade  "Northumbrian Suite"	Stuart Johnson


Instead of championship being traditional Test and Own Choice (total 200),
it was out of 500 - Test and Own Choice (200 each) and Hymn and Concert
March (50 each).  The only grade where this affected the result was A Grade.
K&N (MD Bruce Raymond, own choice Le Roi D'Ys - my band) would have won on
countback under the old system - Test counts for more, but this way
Footscray (MD Doug Trottman, o.c. Sparke's Endeavour) won by a single point
out of 500.
