Re: First Brass

[Quoting Jonathan Chang, on Nov 17 1995, 10:32, in "First Brass"]
|
| Has anyone ever heard of a brass group called First Brass? It is a brass
| quartet from Germany that recorded a self-titled album in 1986. I picked
| up the album from a used CD store and haven't seen this group in any other
| music store. The album was distributed in the USA by K-tel International.
| I would like to know if there are any more of their albums floating around.

Don't beleive there is another album from this "group".
They were not a real group.
More like a bunch of musicians that did an album together.
The musicians are from the bigband / jazz world in Western Europe.

| Anyone overseas hear of this group?

So what side of the sea you are on ?
claremont.edu does not ring a bell for me :-)

.nl is where two of the musicians (Bart & Erik van Lier) come from,
and thats the same side of the ocean Germany lies ;-)

I like First Brass a lot.

I bought the peace "Don;t shoot the Banjo Player" two years back, and
we played it with a group of 7 brass players...
