I believe army bands changed before most of the Brass Bands. An old boy from a band I used to play in told off a joint march/concert where the local town band had been practicing for weeks for this big homecomming and massed band. The whole thing went horibly wrong as the military band had new low pitch and the town band had high pitch. PS. Potters of aldershot are still making high pitch Bb bugles, so there must be some one out there playing high pitch???? =========================================================================== =========================================================================== \_\_\_ \_\_\_ Dean Rayner \_ \_ \_ \_ City of York Scouts Founder Member-95 \_ \_ \_\_\_ Cybercorps 1994 - oblivion \_\_\_ \_ \_ If you put a cow in a glass of Coke, it won't be there in the morning! =========================================================================== =========================================================================== -- unsubscribe or receive the list in digest form, mail a message of 'help' to listserv@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
