Hi, I used to play for Rowntrees in York and they still use a square music stand. It is like a shelf that runs along the back row cornets, across the horns and back down the barries and euphs. (Only for practices) They are wonderful for spreading music out. No fast turns oor music falling of the stand. I believe they were made by the Rountree Coco Works carpenters. I think I read in a book about the square formation and I think origionally you faced outwards?? Before cunductors?? but I may be wrong. =========================================================================== =========================================================================== \_\_\_ \_\_\_ Dean Rayner \_ \_ \_ \_ City of York Scouts Founder Member-95 \_ \_ \_\_\_ Cybercorps 1994 - oblivion \_\_\_ \_ \_ If you put a cow in a glass of Coke, it won't be there in the morning! =========================================================================== =========================================================================== -- unsubscribe or receive the list in digest form, mail a message of 'help' to listserv@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
