Re: Bass Trombones

Hi,

I'm playing basstrombone in both brassbands and symphony orchestra.
I think it's extremely important to blend with the other trombones
-> so in my opinion pizza-pan size bells should be avoided.

I play an old King Duo Gravis, bell 9,5 inch with double rotor.

Try to get a double rotor basstrombone, if feasible an independant
one (this will also be helpful when dealing with mute-changes etc.).

Also, let the player go with you when getting the instrument,
because there is no best instrument, but a best instrument for me,
maybe another for you, etc.!

Kind regards,
