privately, but I lost his address.

Hi Les,
     Thanks for trying to find me in The Blue Boar on Saturday.  Ian (balding, 
moustache) told me you were asking after me, and as I fought my way to the door, 
I saw you disappearing up the road!  I hope we can find a bigger pub next year, 
or at least the Cup Final isn't on the same day!!  Well, it just goes to show.  
The Internet is useful after all, even though we didn't quite manage a meeting. 
I'll search you out at the Open - (as a specatator unfortunately).  Did you hear 
our performance?  We drew number 18, and we honestly thought we were in with a 
chance.  It was certainly the most consistent contest performance since I've 
been in the band (18 months).  Still, that's banding for you...  What did you 
think? (If you heard it)  The one thing we have got, is consistent Shield 
results (7th, 7th, 6th) over that last 3 years.  Oh well...there's always next 
year! :)
