Question :      Do any brass bands anywhere receive public funding -

I think UK bands have recently received National Lottery funds (once off,
but substantial) -  how are all the other amateur bands out there funding
themselves ?

In Ireland the Arts Council summarily ignores brass bands - and Lottery
funding is impossible to come by.
