There are still places left for the Percussion Workshop being hosted by SCABA at
Cranleigh, Surrey on Sunday 8th September.
Simone Rebello will start the day with a recital featuring marimba & vibraphone
along with some untuned percussion. This will be followed by snare drum
techniques, warm up exercises, timpani tuning, dampoing, rolls etc and improving
tuned percussion skills.
After lunch, Simone will disacuss problems concerning cymbals and bass drums,
tambourine and triangle techniques. This will be followed by looking at some
brass band repertoire that has particular interest for percussion.
To round off the day Simone will feature Brazilian Samba music finishing with a
massed samba! An event not to be missed!

The cost of the workshop, including morning coffee, light lunch, tea and
biscuits is L12.50 - excellent value!
