Hi all! I've just joined your list. 

I'm Harold (Hal) floysvik and I play E-flat tuba with the Woods
Manufacturing Company Brass Band in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The band is 
under the direction of David Druce. I also play with the Band of the
Governor General's Foot Guards, the sister regiment of the Coldstream
Guards -- but that's another story, and not a brass band! And, for other 
fun, Tubalation! -- Ottawa's Tuba Quartet under Javor Frajkor. This
group has been inactive for about a year, but may start up again.

I intend to mostly lurk for the time being. I'd like to pick up on the 
trends of the list before I contribute. Plus, I'm fairly heavily 
engaged at the moment on an SGML conversion project here at Nortel
(Northern Telecom) and don't have a lot of time to spare at the moment.
