Our percussionist, Mark is an excellent  xylophone player.  He brought the 
house down at our last Christmas concert with a solo called The Flea. 
The band parts are quite easy and the solo part isn't too difficult 
although Mark improvised in the cadenza towards the end of the piece 
to make it a real crowd pleaser.  Unfortunately, we can't remember the composer
or publisher.

Mark  tells me that he's currently playing Csardas with his school band, 
arranged as a xylophone solo by  Trevarthen.  It's a recent publication from an
American publisher but again I'm afraid I don't have the full details.  If you are
still interested I can try and find out.
