Dear Listees

This is a handy hint for keeping your silver plated mouthpieces clean and
shiny which I tried out today: just boil them in an aluminium saucepan with
a few tablespoons of salt in the water. I think the salt acts as an
electrolyte allowing the aluminium to grab the oxidisation of the silver
(ie. the tarnish) and turns the silver oxide back into silver. Anyway, it
seems to work, and it's a lot better than polishing, which takes the silver
off. Neat, eh!
