About registration i Denmark. Some years ago, - before my periode being chairman of the DAO - following rules has been made. About 2 month before the contest - only one pr. second year - the participating bands has to sign up a list which include the names and the signature fore each of them. Before the band went on stage on the day of contest, the have to resign the list again. The band are allowed to replace 2 (brass band ) 4 ( wind band ) players because of illness. Offcause you can make a fals signature, and you can oversign the list so its not a secure system. In the federation (DAO ) we have not registeret the single bandsman but only the bands. But we would like to have, its a matter of time (money). This years contest in november, will include a draw. Ealier the bands has known there playingtime long time before, and there has been a hard puzzle because somebody play in more than one band. Its not all who agree in that decision, and there will be a little less bands because of that. In Norway the federation have made a software designed special to register everything in a band. Instruments, payings, uniforms, musical education, everything. If all of there 1900 bands use it it will be a very strong tool, also to document the activities. Good when you are going fondraising. Maybe some of the norwegians on the list can commentate it.
