For those not in the know, the 144th British Open Championship, the most 
prestigious event in the British banding calendar will take place on Saturday 
September 7th, in the brand new Bridgwater Hall, Manchester.

The test piece will be 'The Severn Suite' by Edward Elgar, and, incidentally, 
the band that draws number one will go down in history as the first musical 
group to ever play in front of a paying audience at the new hall (the official 
opening isn't until the following week)

I shall be there.  Is anyone else on the list going to be there too?  Wonder how 
far it is from the Abercrombie... :)
