Sorry to intrude- I'm a french horn player(there I admit it)- well I grew
up in SA bands and still play a bit of solo cornet when the chance arises.
Anyway, I'm performing "Hunters Moon" for french horn and orch/piano later
in the year and am looking for some biographical info on Vinter. I studied
with John Burden (for whom the piece was written) but find little info on
Vinter. I know he wrote many works for brass band,so if anyone can list a
source or share a few facts I would be much obliged. Is'nt there a version
of this for French horn and brass band ? maybe James Sheppard. Ifor James
is the only hornplayer likely to have played it.

Please fell free to email me with any thoughts/info
Thanks

Max
