I have made a transcription of Ponchielli's CONCERTO PER FLICORNOBASSO for
brass band. Brian Bowman (on euph) will have a CD out later this year.
Friends tell me that they prefer the trans to the URTEXT which is recorded
by Michael Colburn on Summit DCD 150.

The score and parts are available from:

TUBA Press

My article on its revival is found in the latest TUBA JOURNAL.

In spite of the fact that euphers have taken it up, I believe the original
instrument may have functioned more as a baritone.
