My band use Abbey Associates, Abbey House, Hyde Gardens, Eastbourne, East Sussex
for the band instrument insurance. Last time I checked the market, their rates
were very competitive and they include public liability and free overseas cover.
I don't have the phone number to hand but they advertise alternate weeks in the
British Bandsman. 
If I sound biased it's because I designed the scheme whilst working for Abbey in
the mid 80's!
