Tasmanian Championships Results



over the weekend, Tasmania had its State Championships celebrating the
50th anniversary of the Tasmanian Bands League. The results were:
A -grade
Glenorchy City Concert Brass -A
Hymn 46 March 47 Test (Essence of Time) 186 Own Choice (Paganini
Variations) 190 Street March 179 Inspection 16

B-Grade
Test (Fingal's Cave)
City of Launceston Brass Own Choice (London Overture)
Glenorchy City Concert Brass -B Own Choice (The Prizewinners)
Ulverstone Municipal Band Own Choice (something by Jan de Haan)

C-Grade
Test (Cassation)
West Tamar Band
Burnie Municipal Band
Latrobe Federal Band
Devonport Municipal Band
Hymn 42 March 40 Test 172 Own Choice 176

Concert Band
Hobart City

A very big day for all concerned, especially those that played in two
bands (Glenorchy permitted out a total of 8 players to other bands). The
adjudicator was Major Eric Anderson, and as far as I know, no one had
complaints about the results.
