Members of the Stonesfield Silver Band are pleased to announce that Terry
Brotherhood has been appointed their Musical Director, and they now look 
forward to a long and happy period of stability and improvement.

Formerly a cornet player with Harry Mortimer's Morris Motors Band of the late
60's
and 70's, Terry guided Kidlington Silver (now Morrells Concert Brass) from
being a
non-registered outfit to the Championship section over the period 1979-1989.
Subsequently he reformed the Rover Band, Morris' successor, and with them 
achieved several frame placings, including promotion to the Second section.
More
recently Terry has been conducting the Luton Band.

Of his new appointment, Terry says that once he has been able to bring in the
additional front and back row cornet players, together with an additional Bb
Bass,
the potential is there in Stonesfield Silver and he will work to move the
band forward,
and upward through the sections, to a quality contesting and concert band.
