There was an Australian movie called "The Night, the Prowler", written by Nobel Laureate Patrick White, probably 15-20 years ago. It is set in and around Sydney's Centennial Park, and every now and again there is a snatch of music and a glimpse of a brass band playing in the distance. It is none other than the Waverley Bondi Beach Band, conducted by Cliff Goodchild, playing either "Invercargill" or "Kitchener's Own". What the brass band has to do with the plot I don't know, but the movie is pretty obscure. I've seen the video in our local video shop, in the "Horror" section...
