If I were you, I would use Musicator to your first attemp to compose and
write.
I'ts easy and has a very fine way of being instructive without loosing the
possibillities of making good music.

In due time and when you become very experienced you could change to Encore
wich many of us have done.

Mind you the discussion regarding soundcards going on right now!
