Results from Spennymoor 17.11.96.

1 Fairey   254
2 Britannia BS   252.5
3 Yorkshire BS   250.5
4 Grimley Colliery   247.5
5 Tredegar   245.5

These seemed fine...Faireys were on good form and BBS also very 
strong..

Stavanger played well and were for me most entertaining (with 
excellent piece 'African Roots' with chanting, singing, dancing etc)

Grimley/Grimethorpe played in their new purple jackets (from the 
film) and started with 'Death or Glory'...  They (like YBS and Imps) 
played Riverdance, with dancing solo cornet and flugel.

Surprised that Sellers didn't get a mention...they sounded (and 
looked) greatand Peter Roberts (sop) was out of this world.

Anyone heard results from Blackpool?  I heard that 
Grimethorpe/Grimley won and Desford didn't figure.
