I'm writing this at the request of a British student who is studying 
in Berlin.  He is looking for a band, ideally a brass band, that he 
can play cornet/trumpet with.   Does anyone have a contact name or 
address of a band in Berlin, or perhaps the national band organisation?  
Any leads gratefully received.

The German bands I've seen don't have a 'standard' set of instruments, 
and include saxes, clarinets and other wind instruments. He's happy to 
play in such a band if that's the local lineup. 

He's already tried the University orchestra but they're over-subscribed 
in the trumpet department, unfortunately.
