I was watching MYSTERY a PBS series of (mainly) UK-produced mysteries last week. To my great surprise the background music to the HERCULE POIROT plot was not the ususal 20's-sounding sax and rhythm but a brass band! The settings were appropriate and tasteful and well within the confines of the usual background music. The return to the usual ensemble for the credit roll was jarring, however. The credits gave no clue as to the ensemble, etc. Might some of the UK members of the list enlighten me?
