Subject: Musical Committees

At a recent band committee meeting it was decided to set up a Musical
Committee to help the Musical Director with selecting music, personnel
moves etc. One member of the committee was violently opposed to this and
stated that no other band operatied in this way. He lost the argument,
however, I am interested to find out if other bands operate a similar
committee and whether it has been a sucess or not.
