Dear Brass-band listees, A small group of the Warringah Concert Brass players were seen wandering the streets of Terrey Hills playing carols (from the New Christmas Praise book of course) last night. They were accompanied by Don Cooper of Old Glossop Band who played an admirable baritone horn on a borrowed instrument. Don was heard to comment on how nice it was to play carols without suffering frostbite of the fingers. Afterwards all players retired to the Terrey Hills Tavern for a pizza and some well-earned liquid refreshment. It was great to meet Don and Dee and to have then participate in our humble Christmas brass-band activities (we raised $80.00 for the band). They are having a great time in the Sydney summer before leaving for Melbourne on Saturday.
