Hi all,
Have you heard Hendon SA band lately? Their CD Hendon Highlights fantastic.
If you compare them with their last CD (the Inheritors) they have, in my
opinion, progressed by a huge amount....I don't know how Stephen Cobb does it
but he certainly is doing a fine job with both bands. Probably down to a lot
of work and commitment.
I had the chance to speak to him, before he became ISB B/M and he is such a
nice guy. Totally unassuming yet very talented.
When I heard the ISB at Stockton (nr Middlesborough) last year, it was
fantastic. He has such command of the band and they responded to him so well.
It was in a really nice church, great accoustics, and well, their sound!!!!
what can I say??
My dad had the opportunity to play a solo at a congress with them accompanying
him. Wondrous Day (Leidzen) and he says that they just carried him along so
well, and they forced him to play well. As you can see, i'm very passionate
and fond of them.

Best wishes,
