A few years ago, Brass Band World started publishing a top 40 in their magazine 
each month.  Originally intended as 'a bit of harmless fun' it is now regarded 
as THE authority on brass band rankings.  Based entirely on contest results, in 
a rolling 36-month period, it's interesting to see the bands' fortunes changing 
from month to month.  I couldn't begin to give my own top 10, so here, if anyone 
is interested, is the full top 40 from the most recent issue of Brass Band 
World.
