This evening (28/01/97)there was a break in to the instrument store in the
Warwick university arts centre. Although it is very difficult to know what
instruments have gone at the moment, it is certain that 2 Bach Strad Bb
trumpets have gone.
The first is a silver instrument S/N 366556 in its original brown case(the
handles are falling off. There is a sticker on the front with a picture of
henry the vacuum cleaner (Ok-its sad). In this case was also a harmon,
straight and cup mute and some wind orchestra music (Holst marching song
and Hyakutake).The two mouthpieces were a Bach 1 1/4 C and a Dennis Wick
4.
The second instrument is laquered - S/N unknown at this time(I'll post
tommorow). It is in a moulded case which can be worn over the shoulder.
There may be other smaller instruments such as flutes/ Clarinets but noone
is sure at the moment.
If anyone in this area (Warwickshire/ west midlands) or even further
afield is offered any suspicious instruments, please contact me so that i
can let the police know.
