With regard to Variations on 'Macabeus', sorry I can't quote, my mail reader's
having a problem with it.

Yes, it is very similar to Land of the Long White Cloud, maybe a little too
similar...Also, Norbury's Partita, I find it similar to Year of the Dragon.  I
guess that he's a fan of Sparke's music.  In saying that, i find that some of
Sparke's music is similar to some of Vaughan Williams music too....
