I played a transcription of the complete work at NYWO about 3 summers ago, a brilliant piece. For the first movement, you could play it straight off. (I presume you mean the fanfare) with 9 trumpet parts, 2 euphs and two bass trumpets (in unison, you could do this on baritones) I can't remember if there are trombones, I don't think so. This doesn't give the rest of the band anything to do at all, how about transcribing the finale, which is essentially the same but with the orchestra added to the fanfare band. > > Darrall Cutting > Warringah Concert Brass in Sydney > > > -- > unsubscribe or receive the list in digest form, mail a message of 'help' to > listserv@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > -- Alastair Wheeler Euphonium, Bass Trombone Alastair.Wheeler@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://users.ox.ac.uk/~newc0349/ "I am following my fish" -- unsubscribe or receive the list in digest form, mail a message of 'help' to listserv@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
