I recently purchased "l'Art du Cornet =E0 Pistons,"  a recording by Thierry
Caens on cornet accompanied by (install clothespins) a woodwind quintet.
The playing is technically wonderful and musically satisfying.  However, I
would like to hear comments from some of you better versed in the brass
band cornet tradition.  (It is my suspicion that he occasionally allows
some trumpet roots sneak through in his playing.
