The article said : The bore of a true baritone is cylindrical rather than conical like U.S. instruments. The only true baritone is the English Baritone that is used in British brass bands. I must beg to differ. The baritone used in British brass bands evolved from the Sax family of instruments, and is, and always has been conically bored ! (not chronically boring - as one euphoniumist said !!!) Steven Booth -- unsubscribe or receive the list in digest form, mail a message of 'help' to listserv@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
