Nigel,
	I have to say that I (and a number of other people) have had very
bad experiences with ONE of the companies you mentioned here. Basically
they hold onto copyright and will NOT usually allow arrangements of music
to which they hold the rights to be published by anyone except their "own"
arrangers.

It is a situation which has been ongoing for a number of years, and does
not look like getting any better !!!  The issue has been escalated by a
number of publishers and organisations but to no avail. Everyone I know has
basically given up and does not waste their time any more arranging
anything which "belongs" to this company.

This has resulted in the with-holding of many fine arrangements of pieces
which it seems may never make it onto the open market.

I appreciate this is very dodgy ground to discuss over such a public
service and will not be drawn into any further discussion on this subject
for that reason - I just thought all prospective arrangers out there should
be aware - if you are not already !

All the above comments are based on personal experiences and are purely my
own opinions. No further correspondance will be entered into on this matter
due to the nature and sensitivity of the subject.
