Hi! I'm new to the list, so I thought I'd introduce myself.
My name's Rachel Higginson, I'm a 19 year old dental student at
Newcastle University and I'm a cornet player. I was brought up in
banding, my father used to be MD of Harrogate Band, and I finally
decided to take up the cornet when I was 15. I started off with
Wilsden Band (unreg.), who I still play for in holidays, and joined
Yorkshire Coops. Jayess (formerly Jayess Queensbury, then
Championship section) 2 years later. I am currently registered with
Felling Band, although my face hasn't been seen in the bandroom
recently due to illness and work commitments. I will be back with the
band soon though.
I hope to "get to know" a few more members of the movement through
the list!
