Yorkshire Imps >17) Carlton Main Frickley Congratulations to the qualifying bands this year. It was the sort of piece that left the field open (as I suspect Jazz will in a fortnight's time). Having said that, it was a bit strange to see some of the 'favoured' bands featuring so far down the list. Flowers were 10th, Rhodian were 11th, Imps were 13th, we were 15th and Carlton Main were 17th!! We certainly weren't robbed, but we were very pleased with our performance - we even had people in the pub congratulating us on our musical interpretation of the second movement, and we thought perhaps 15th place and the closing remarks of one adjudicator 'All in all a performance which failed to convince me.' were a tad harsh! If anyone heard any of these performances I'd be grateful for any opinions. Also if anyone has the full results for all 22 bands, I'd be interested to see who beat us and who we managed to beat this time! :) Best wishes, -- Tim Morgan, Bass Trombone, Woolley Pritchard Sovereign Brass.
