>Interesting to here about Wilf Mountain. I played for Wilf at Hamilton Temple for several years before his eventual move to California and also was a part of the Centennial Band in 1967, led by Wilf, the fore-runner of the Candian Staff Band. Wilf was a
womderful euph player with a technique equivalent to anyone today. He was also a very strong player as I realized when I asked for more Euoh sound while conducting Hamilton Temple when Wilf was sitting in the euph section as a visiting soloist at one of
our band weekends.
Wilf died tragically in Toronto several years ago, shortly after he had
retired and returned to Canada.
Sorry I can't help with info on the solo.
Regards, Dave.
