I think you will find that the post horn used for brass band repertoire is
pitched in Ab (piccolo), tunable to A for orchestral use. At least, that's how
mine (handed down from my father) is tuned, but I'm sure Robb would have no
trouble replicating this either. He made a magnificent soprano (Bb) trombone
for me.
