Isiah 40 was th etest here in New Zealand this year 1997. A very
difficult piece to put together. The British Bandsman said that it was
a relativly easy piece techanicaly. Well, the parts themselves may not
be the hardest around, but fitting it togetther was difficult. Richard
Evans judged here and picked the bands on the solo parts which inthe end
benefited us very well. There are perhapes 4 significant solo
sections, horn, eupho, and 2 cornet solos. Don't treat this piece
lightly, it has the ability to bring good bands to their knees.

Good luck,
Nick Wood.
