Hello all and Phil Green,
	    As a non playing member of the list can I congratulate all the
bands at the nationals on Saturday. The standard, dispite Roy's customary
remark, was very high and the playing was very enjoyable. Phil Green was, I
think, first on the list with the result and I enjoyed his comments about
them. I'm afraid Phil,the real adjudicators were in the little blue box,
sorry tent, and the boys and girls at The Mews were quite rightly trying to
get a drink out of you. Your performance was the most musical and perhaps
the most skilfully played and no one will shout louder then me when you win
your next contest under name of 'FODENS'. The two bands that beat you took
the piece by the scruff of the neck and were 1st and 2nd through absolute
and total confidence. This came over to the audience and I am sure the men
in the blue tent thought the same.
	    Thanks again for a very good day and thanks to Peter Graham for
a truly great piece of music
