I've have been living in Glasgow for the last 23 years and never met anyone who
actually speaks Gaelic, yet they always broadcast gaelic programs here on prime
time television.

If it is of any help, the only word in gaelic I know is "Slainte", pronounced
'Slanjee' meaning...
