     Try contacting Terry Hext - he was in the Bedford phone book (lived in 
     Stevington I think). His number was 3370 but obviously it will have 
     grown a bit since I last to phoned him. 

     He conducts (or at least he did last I knew) the non-contesting band 
     called "breakaway-brass" based in Kempston, Bedford. I won't go into 
     the reason behind the name but Terry did used to conduct the Bedford 
     Town Band in it's Heyday!

Dear all

I have just moved to Cranfield University and am interested in joining one of 
the bands around here.  I have yet to find any contacts.  If anyone does know 
any then I would appreciate it.  I used to play Solo/1st Horn in Brighton Silver

and am looking to rejoin them when I finish next year, so a non-contesting band 
would be good, but not essential.  I will just not be able to contest with 
them!!

I have heard that there are two bands in Bedford and a number for either would 
be greatly appreciated.
