Can I
suggest that you now broaden your horizons, and start listening to the best
sop players, who I'm sure most people will agree play (and generally live)
north of Watford gap (i.e. Yorkshire & North West).  Anyone agree/disagree
?

Whats wrong with the bands past Watford gap. May I remind you that Eric
Capron who was with Luton Band won the National Solo Championship of Great
Britain in the 1980s and the only soprano to do so.
he played Rhapsody for soprano cornet, 
the best musical soprano that I ever herd  (note musical) not the loudest
