I have the CD called 'Brass with no strings attached' from the Brass Band of
Battle Creek. IMHO they are great. The sound is very different from our UK
brass bands - especially the bass section! The cornet section has a definate
trumpet style which is not a bad thing considering the style of music they
play best. Another point is that the horn section know how to make a good
impression of french horns - damn loud without vibrato! Not everyones cup of
tea - but more than worth the listen.
