Hi all............

I'm just writing to tell you all that I have just been asked to represent
Queensland at the Ern Keller (spelling??).  The Qld Champion of Champions
won't be available and since I was runner up at the Qld. State contest, I
am going instead.

For the non Aussies (and Kiwis), the Ern Keller Memorial is a solo
competition where the Champion of Champions from each State in Aust. as
well as NZ get invited to St. Mary's Band Club in Sydney and play against
each other for the prestigious award.

And.now I have been given this opportunity.........................I'm
already very excited.

I've got no Idea what to play............although It's a few months away.

I'd like to paly a Cornet solo that is about 6-10 minutes long, not over
strenueous on range, but lets me show off a lot of technique and
musicality.  I'd like to avoid older Theme and Vari. and would like
something more modern but not too way out.............

Does anybody have any suggestions?????????.................................
