Hi to all Wallace & Gromit Fans,

Margate Silver Band experienced a Grand Day Out at the Waldorf Hotel, London
last night (Tuesday 25th Nov)  where they were invited to play for the party
in honour of the creator of Wallace & Gromit Nick Park's CBE and the opening
of the Wallace & Gromit stage show.

The Party was attended by many Celebrities and VIP's along with Nick Park and
a selection of Journalists and photographers, including TV crews for Carlton
TV, Dutch and German TV.

Julian Nott, the Composer of the music for the Wallace & Gromit Theme,
arranged the music especially for Margate Silver Band for this occasion.

Everyone involved made a huge effort to make this a very special occasion for
Nick, a Shepherd volunteered to bring along a flock of sheep, designers
recreated the World of Wallace & Gromit and the Band played a selection of
music at 62 West Wallaby Street, in the Waldorf Hotel.

The Band forwarded their full Catalogue of music where Nick Park and the 
Producer of Wallace & Gromit made their own selection.

They played;

1. Congratulations
2. There's No Business like Show Business
3. James Bond Selection
4. Eve of The War
5. Meet The Flintstones
6. Let's Face The Music and Dance
7. When The Saints Go Marching In
8. Thunderbirds
9. Wallace & Gromit

Many of the Guests paid tribute to the bands performance, an eleven year old
girl thought the band were "wicked"!!!!!!!!!!

Members of the Band were invited to join in the fun and feel free to disco,
eat and drink to their hearts' content. Complimentary Wallace & Gromit
Annuals with Nick's Autograph along with a nice bit of Wensleydale Cheese
were given to both guests and Band members along with a promise of
Complimenatary Theatre Tickets. 
Some members even managed to have a chat with the man himself.

The Band thought this was a great opportunity and an unforgettable evening
and have made many new friends with people in high places.
